R&D Team Lead

 into meaningful, actionable insights for modern GRC and compliance programs. In this role, you will lead the development of core systems that ingest, interpret, and structure complex data at scale—powering the intelligence and automation behind the anecdotes platform.

Your Role

As an R&D Team Lead, you will guide a dedicated group of engineers working across data ingestion, processing, storage, and insights delivery. You will collaborate closely with product and customer-facing teams to ensure our data capabilities remain robust, scalable, and aligned with the evolving needs of compliance and security leaders. You will take ownership of both the technical architecture and the ongoing growth and development of your engineering team, helping shape the next generation of data-driven GRC solutions

What You’ll Do

• Mentor and manage a team of talented engineers, helping them grow and pushing the boundaries of what our data stack can achieve.
• Architect and deliver solutions that convert unstructured data into structured, high-quality data products, enabling real-time insights and automated exports.
• Build for scale: Ensure our data infrastructure is reliable, high-performance, and designed to scale as our offerings grow globally.
• Define and enforce best practices around architecture, testing, data quality, documentation, and team workflows.
• Monitor team health, velocity, and outcomes to ensure consistent improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team-lead role.
• Proven experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and building complex data pipelines or data-driven systems.
• Strong technical competence in at least one high-level language (such as Python, Java or TypeScript) and experience with streaming, batch processing or real-time data systems.
• Demonstrable ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and deliver user-facing solutions from concept to production.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative mindset; comfortable translating technical ideas for non-engineering stakeholders.
• A passion for building culture, mentoring engineers, and driving high-impact teams.
