2025: The Year Enterprises Demanded Data-Based GRC, And Anecdotes Delivered 🎯

It's difficult to capture an entire year of momentum in a single post.

But when I look back at 2025, one thing is undeniably clear: The enterprise GRC market crossed a threshold. And we were there, ready to serve.

Our Company

Product & Innovation

We shipped relentlessly in 2025:

  • 50+ platform releases across our core product.  That's a weekly release! Innovation doesn't stop when a specific use case is fulfilled.
  • 7 new AI-powered capabilities delivered. And the biggest AI announcement? Coming soon. It was built during 2025!
  • 230+ out-of-the-box integrations. Plus many new library analysis rules for automated compliance monitoring.

But velocity alone isn't the story.

What makes Anecdotes different is our approach:

Immediate out-of-the-box value where customers live in weeks, combined with deep enterprise infrastructure they can build on.

Our customers don't just consume our platform, they extend it. They're using AI to write custom analysis rules. Building custom evidence with our Evidence Builder. Spinning up their own data pipelines for internal systems.

This is what "platform" actually means: Rapid time-to-value on day one, infinite extensibility on day 1,000.

And yes, we have enterprise customers who crossed 1,000 days with Anecdotes! 🎉

This is what data-driven GRC looks like.

Funding & Financial Strength

DTCP led our Series B with a powerful vote of confidence from KPMG US, joining alongside our existing investors: Vertex Ventures, Red Dot Capital, and Glilot Capital Partner

Financial resilience isn't just a metric for us. It's a promise to our customers and partners.

We're here for the long game. And it's clicking.

Team Growth

We grew headcount by 24% (mostly during H2).

Hungry, brilliant professionals across: Sales · R&D · Marketing · Customer Success · Product. We crossed the 100-employee mark, with higher efficiency than ever.

This team is extraordinary.

Our Customers

The numbers this year humbled us:

  • 30 BILLION records collected: Yes, billion. That's the scale of full-data context from over 23,000 distinct evidence artifacts.200,000 controls and 5,000 risks continuously monitored.
  • Successful migrations from AuditBoard, ServiceNow IRM, Vanta, Drata, and countless spreadsheets.
  • 70%+ enterprise customers. Leading Fortune 500 logos pulling us upmarket and globally: Germany, UK, Australia, Singapore, and beyond.

And then came Gartner's Enterprise GRC Competitive Landscape report.

Our customers apparently talked. Organically. About how they successfully use Anecdotes in production.

The train has left the station… 🚂

Thank you, to our customers, partners, global teams, and investors. For the trust. For the constant push.

What's ahead? I'm Genuinely ecxited for 2026.

We'll soon announce groundbreaking technology and solutions. Stay tuned. Seriously.

My predictions:

  • Certainty: High AI will be useful. Not through fluffy PoC demos, in enterprise production. How? Stay tuned.
  • Certainty: Medium FedRAMP will see higher adoption by Q4 2026. They're rowing in the right direction, with automation as the key to continuous assurance.
  • Certainty: Buying the stock (Compliance disclaimer: not financial advice!) ServiceNow will acquire a large company that uses Anecdotes. How do I know? Because 66% of their $1B+ acquisitions during 2025 have been Anecdotes customers. Statistical significance, anyone?

2026 is the year to join us

The Anecdotes team is scaling.

We have incredible open positions for GRC professionals, GTM magicians, and R&D enthusiasts.

Don't miss the opportunity to build the future of GRC with AI and data.

2026 will be the year enterprises transform their GRC programs with AI, on their own data.

🥂 Happy New Year 🥂
